This large Victorian house is a convenient place to base yourself for visiting surrounding towns and cities. Newcastle is near with the picturesque Durham and York. We are easily accessible by road and rail with the newly extended Metro system making local travel very enjoyable and economical.

The Kingsmere Guest House is a quiet, friendly, family run guest house and being established for over 15 years we are competent to satisfy all our guests requirements. All the rooms are decorated to a very high standard with TV/Video/Digi Box, tea and coffee making facilities, central heating,en suite are available. Prices include an English or continental breakfast to suit all dietary needs.  We also have Wi-Fi facilities.

If it's a quiet break your after then look no further. The beautiful North East coastline is second to none with spectacular views and tranquil bays hosting an abundance of bird life and fauna. The area is scattered with historic relics such as castles/monasteries and fortifications from all periods of time.

For those guests visiting for educational purposes the South Tyneside Nautical College and the Sea Survival Centre and The North East Tiling Training Centre are all within walking distance.

The fairground is also very near with amusements arcades, ten pin bowling and local cinema. Seafront bars and restaurants cater for families and children.
