The United Kingdom and especially Northumbria is blessed with great places where families can enjoy a camping holiday. From its famous seaside resorts, to the spectacular scenery of the national parks, to pleasant agricultural settings, Britain is a great place to take a break under canvas.

There is some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe to see here, but it is well worth remembering that the weather is never predictable in Britain and, especially on its upland fringes, Britain can be a wet place if a traveller has the wrong clothes with them.
Cycle From South Shields to Cumbria
Killingworth Lake and the Northumberland National Park are beautiful and interesting places to visit. Hadrian’s Wall runs from South Shields across the North of England to the coast in Cumbria. There is also a cycle path that runs from the Cumbrian coast to the mouth of the Tyne in South Shields.
