The "Rolls Royce" of guest house/ B&B's.
When I first arrived, and phoned home I said I had been very lucky to have found the best place in South Shields. After my two week stay, my view has not changed.
Pauline and Russell are great hosts and their willingness to assist with problems is remarkable.

Excellent.
I can only echo what's already been said. The Kingsmere is an excellent guesthouse - clean, affordable, comfortable and very friendly. I've stayed there a few times and always felt welcome. I travel to South Shields every year, and will now always make a point of booking a room at the Kingsmere for every visit.

The best B&B in South Shields.
Run by a very friendly and helpful couple (Russell and Pauline), the Kingsmere is the best B&B we have stayed at in South Shields. The rooms are very nice with free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is top notch. Very close to all ameneties, yet in a very peaceful, quiet street. Great value for money. Will return.

Warm, welcoming, comfortable and great value!
As a regular visitor to the town, I can thoroughly recommend the Kingsmere. We've always received a warm welcome from Pauline & Russell and they always try to be flexible to our needs. All the rooms that we've used have been comfortable and clean with good en suite facilities. Breakfast has always been cooked to order and to a high consistent standard. I have not found better value for money anywhere in the town.

Run by a lovely gentlemen and always accomodating, I have spent many nights here on various trips to South Shields and always been given an excellent welcome and chat with the proprietor. Excellent breakfast and clean rooms,,

I have used the Kingsmere Guest House regularly for the past 2 years. I find the atmosphere pleasant and relaxed. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast really sets me up for the day. I have brought family with me on one occasion and the children, 10 and 12 loved the hotel and its location - close to the parks, beaches & Roman Fort. I like the location as it is close to the South Shields pubs and restaurants, yet well away from the main thoroughfare - no street noise.
Russell and Pauline are excellent hosts and make you feel very much at home.
